In the Preschool Room, your child will grow from a toddler to a big kid! We focus on everything from potty training and independence to colors, shapes, letters, and numbers. Our goal is to build a solid foundation for learning how to do things correctly, like holding a pencil or sitting during circle time.

Our curriculum from Funshine Express features two themes each month. We engage in various activities throughout the week, such as art projects, play dough, and building with blocks, to reinforce learning. We start the day with circle time, where children hear about the day’s plan, see the date on the calendar, and enjoy songs and silly dances, especially when spelling or trying to spell their names. We believe children learn best through hands-on play, which also helps us get to know each child better and build rapport.

We encourage parents to ask about their child’s projects. All communication is via the ProCare App, which allows us to send messages, pictures, and videos. The app also helps us sign your child in and out each day. We look forward to getting to know you and your child here at Lyrical City Preschool.
